About Dr Aliki Tsichlaki
Hello, I am Dr Aliki Tsichlaki. I am a GDC-registered specialist orthodontist – orthodontics is the area of dentistry concerned with straightening teeth and correcting the bite, in both children and adults.
I qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Hospital in 2008, then trained in oral and maxillofacial surgery and paediatric dentistry before completing specialist orthodontic training at the University of Manchester, gaining my MOrth from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2014 alongside a Master of Research with distinction. I was awarded a British Orthodontic Society prize for clinical excellence in 2014, and completed my PhD at Queen Mary University of London in 2020.
Alongside clinical practice, I am an Associate Professor and Honorary Consultant in Orthodontics at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, and Deputy Programme Director for the MClinDent in Orthodontics, supervising postgraduate trainees. My research focuses on how orthodontic treatment is measured and on prioritising what matters most to patients.
